A combination of toweling and a Layer Cake help make up this quilt.
I have used both from my Vista line of toweling and wovens.  
Toweling is a wonderful fabric to use as an applique background, no stabiliser is required.  I completed the applique using needleturn by hand but you could used fused or machine applique too.
Arranging the layer cake ' stepping stones' by graded colour gives th quilt a lovely effect too.
